  I used this driver for three weeks stretch where I was having a tough time controlling the R9. The larger head offers more forgiveness with a more secure feel at address. While the R9 offers the movable weight technology, you wont need it here. This is a solid feeling driver that offers better forgiveness than its smaller predecessor. I like this better than my R9, longer and straighter, who cares if I cant hit my 10 yard draw...At least im not hitting the 20 yard hook anymore.
